A random trick won during any pinochle game would be made up of 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4 points. Obviously, it is impossible for one trick to hold 2.4 points. That means sixty percent of the deck is points, so each trick (4 cards) is going to average out to have 2.4 points (60% of 4 = 2.4).
